Meet Dr. Clayton Hamrick

Dr. Hamrick joined the University of Florida in July 2019 as a visiting clinical assistant professor in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS), where he focused on didactic and clinical instruction for predoctoral dental students and residents in the department’s advanced education program. He also provided patient care in the OMFS Resident Center, the Student Oral Surgery Center, and UF Health Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Hamrick earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clemson University in 2006 before attending University of Florida, where he received his dental degree in 2012 and medical degree in 2016. He completed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2018, followed by a General Surgery Internship at the UF College of Medicine in 2019.

In addition to his extensive training at UF, Dr. Hamrick completed externships in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas, University of North Carolina, and the UF College of Medicine in Jacksonville. He has also been an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons since 2012.
