Meet Mrs. Phillips

Registered nurse practitioner PHILLIPS, aprn

Debbie Phillips grew up in the small rural town of Urbana Missouri. Her compassion for others and determination to be the first in her family to complete a college degree led her to obtain her undergraduate degree in nursing from Southwest Baptist University in Springfield Missouri in 2015. She started her nursing journey in the neurotrauma intensive care unit at CoxHealth in Springfield Missouri, where she worked for roughly a year and a half before transferring to the postoperative anesthesia care unit (PACU). Her true calling in nursing, to be more involved in the care and treatment plans of her patients, fueled her drive to complete her graduate degree in nursing from the University of Maryville in St. Louis Missouri in 2019.

At the beginning of 2022 she and her family moved to Florida for more job opportunities. She and her husband enjoy staying at home, spending time with friends and family, and attending the Florida Gator games as her husband has been a fan since he was a child. She enjoys exercising (yoga, zumba, barre), decorating, and cooking.  

She is honored to join Dr. Brockett and Dr. Patel in their practice here where she is treated more like family than an employee. She finds her professional goals closely align with theirs in the quality of care that is provided to their patients.
